Privacy Policy — NewsLink Cloak
NewsLink Cloak is a free tool that shows daily USA trending news and creates image-preview links. This page explains, in plain language, what the site does with data.
What we collect
The site itself does not require an account, and does not ask for your name, email, or password. When you create a link, the destination link and the image link you choose are encoded into the link itself so the preview page can show them — they are not stored in a user account.
Trending news
Headlines, images, and article links come from the original publishers (for example New York Times, BBC, Google News, and The Guardian) via their public feeds. Clicking “Original news” takes you to the publisher's own website, which has its own privacy policy.
Advertising
The site displays advertising from Adsterra. Adsterra and other third-party ad providers may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads and measure them. You can control cookies in your browser settings. The site does not sell personal data.
Visitor analytics
When you visit the homepage or open a cloaked link, the site logs only your country and city (from Vercel's location headers), the page visited, and the time — so the site owner can see a daily summary of where visitors come from. Your IP address, name, email, and exact location are not stored for analytics.
Link previews
When a preview link is opened, the page shows the real destination domain before redirecting, so visitors can see where they are going.
Changes
This policy may be updated if the site's features change. The current version is always on this page.
